The Indian sheet rubber (RSS-4) prices crossed the magical level of INR 200/kg (US$2.32/kg) on March 19, hitting INR 202/kg on March 22, boosting the spirits of farmers and traders even as rubber production passes through the lean period due to the hot climate, but the arrival of summer rains last week in Kerala has made the farmers cheerful.
